I Create Original Art
This multimedia project was completely original in anyway, shape, or form. Our only requirement for this piece was to create a multimedia project with 5 different layers. We were able to choose our own supplies, colors, and board to paste of pieces on. Each color, design, and item was put where it was to create a piece that I wanted to make, a piece that I envisioned and created. I was not following a design from another mixed media project because part of the fun of art is creating new things that you come up with. I love when I can look at a piece of art and proudly say"that's mine" because I not only drew it but I thought of the concept and put it to reality.
I Developed My Art Making Skills
During this project I expanded and developed my art making skills in mixed media. I learned and experimented with different textures and objects and positions. It was challenging to create such a diverse piece that also presented so harmony. No matter how many patterns I had applied each item seemed to correspond with each other and create a uniform and structured piece.
We Collaborate
While I was half way done with the piece I had asked Mrs. Rossi her opinion. she had helped me understand that more could be added to the piece and to continue the line that I had added. She helped me understand that the ribbon I had in the middle of the piece could connect to another item to create a continuous line. I followed her advice and it gave the piece a different look and it gave the ribbon a purpose. It didn't look so "lost" on the board.
