This is the picture of my final 2nd project.
I Reflect:
During this project I reflected a lot. I would break it into sections (the leaves, the skin, the "skin outline", and the background.) After and during each section I would hold it up and look at it. I would look at the technique, texture, colors, lightness and darkness, This would help me get a "viewers" perspective and help me figure out what else I need to do to improve my piece.
We Collaborate
During this project I collaborated with my peers. When I needed feedback, or when I just wanted to ask what they thought I would turn to them. They helped me and gave me their opinions. I was able to get an understanding of what may look better to the viewrs eye.
I Developed My Art Making Skills
This was my first project using prisma colored pencils with the technique that I did. During this project I learned and got comfortable with adding different colors to give it more detail and shadows. I also put different techniques in the skin and in the leaves. By the end of this project I became very comfortable with using them in a more artist and meaningful way.
I'm really happy that I decided to stick with the idea of drawing the pineapple. At first I wasn't too sure about it because I wasn't sure if I would be able to capture the "3D" look of the skin. I am very impressed with myself and my artwork. I loved how it turned out.
